Our Mission
Our mission at Ammo-Alert is to prevent tragic school shootings from occurring in the United States through the use of real-time gunshot detection. We use student computers to listen for bullets in the classroom setting, utilizing already existing hardware to minimize costs for administrators and educators. At Ammo-Alert, we prioritize privacy and do not store any student data or send audio to servers. Instead, we instantly alert appropriate subscribers when a firearm discharge is detected, ensuring students are prepared and able to respond. Created by students for students, Ammo-Alert is dedicated to making schools a safer place.

Set up Contact Information
Open up the configuration (Settings Menu) screen and fill in Information such as a name, phone number, one emergency contact and the school address.

Ammo-Alert is a school shooting detection app that is easy
to use and requires no additional hardware purchases. It can
be set up quickly in classroom settings and does not require
a server or hub. Students can easily configure the app by
providing some basic information about themselves. The app
runs in the background to constantly listen for gunshots,
ensuring student safety at all times. Additionally, the app
has a user-friendly configuration screen that makes it
simple for students to set up their own profiles. By using
existing hardware and eliminating the need for additional
equipment, Ammo-Alert reduces costs and setup time for
schools.
